Mpower technology lets you decide what content is appropriate for your family. You may create personal profiles for each family member-- each profile is protected by its own four-digit pin code.

Create your personal profile right on the TV screen, by selecting the kinds of content you don't want from each category: sex, violence, language, and mature content. The specific content choices are listed below. Our content labels were created under the expert guidance of one of the nation's foremost authorities on media and child development. The labels allow parents to make specific choices allowing for different maturity levels among children and differents values among families.

The Mpower technology automatically matches your content choices to TV and Internet content, seamlessly skipping the content you don't want. Once you save your content choices, you will be automatically protected from offensive content every time you turn on the TV or log in on the computer.  You can change your settings at any time--the system is flexible, easy, and personalized to your content choices.  This is entertainment the way it is meant to be!

CONTENT LABELS - SEX
1. Romantic kissing
2. Non-sexual partial nudity
3. Revealing clothes
4. Mild sexual innuendo
5. Implied sexual situation (between adults)
6. Sexually suggestive content (dialogue, scenes or clothes)
7. Commercials with sexual content
8. Implied sexual situation (mature content)
9. Sexual nudity (partial)
10. Explicit sexual dialogue
11. Explicit sexual situations or behavior / Full sexual nudity

CONTENT LABELS - VIOLENCE
1. Comic violence / Cartoon violence / Slapstick
2. Mild fights / Martial arts combat
3. Scary images (tense, threatening images)
4. Scary situations (tense and threatening situations)
5. Implied lethal violence / Moderate fights / Non-explicit battles / Cruelty to animals
6. Commercials with violent content
7. Intense fight scenes with serious injury or death / Bloody but non-graphic situations, including medical scenes
8. Physical abuse or torment / Domestic abuse
9. Self-harm / Suicide / Euthanasia
10. Sexual crimes / Graphic violence or graphic medical scenes / Torture or disturbing images / Gratuitous violence

CONTENT LABELS - LANGUAGE
1. Mild slang for body parts or functions / Mildly crude dialogue or bathroom humor
2. Mild insults using body parts
3. Mild cursing
4. Disrespect towards a deity or sacred symbol’s name
5. Moderate crude dialogue or humor / Intentional verbal cruelty (ridicule)
6. References to substance abuse
